Field service management software for teams running technicians under contract

We built ElevatorPlus for the most technically demanding field service context - lifts, escalators, and other statutory-inspection equipment. The platform runs with more than 2,000 users across 20+ countries. If it handles that, it handles yours.

  • Preventive maintenance schedules from the contract, dispatched automatically, confirmed from the field
  • Breakdown calls logged, technician dispatched, response time recorded against the SLA
  • Offline-capable mobile app - job records captured in plant rooms and basements with no signal
  • Statutory inspection records and certificates generated to the regulatory format, from the field

FIELD SERVICE MANAGEMENT

Field service management software is the system that connects a head office to the technicians at customer sites - contracts, scheduling, dispatch, job recording, parts, compliance certificates - so that the record of what happened is in the system rather than in the technician's pocket or the customer's log book.

The deepest proof stack we have is in elevators and escalators, because that sector is the hardest: statutory inspections, multi-site clients, regulatory certificates, offline sites, and a technician workforce that is not at a desk. If you run AMC contracts for any equipment type, the engineering is the same. If you run it for lifts, we built the tool the industry leaders are using.
CHALLENGES

What we keep hearing before the first call

Common bottlenecks and operational breakdowns we encounter before modernizing the workflow.

The contract says four hours. The technician arrived in six. The only record is the customer's complaint. If you had captured the call time and the arrival time, you would have seen it coming and had a chance to fix it before the invoice period closed.
The inspection was done. The certificate was written on a form the technician carried, filled in by hand, and delivered as a scan. The record of whether the inspection was due, whether it was done on time, and what condition the equipment was found in does not exist in your system.
You know what jobs are open. You do not know which technician is at which site, what stage the job is at, whether parts were found to be required that were not in the van, or whether the customer is waiting for an invoice that has not been raised.
COMPLIANCE

The SLA and regulatory evidence chain your contracts require

An SLA for a service contract defines the maximum response time to a breakdown call, the maximum resolution time, the exclusions (public holidays, parts on order), and the consequences of breach. Without a system, proving compliance requires reconstructing the timeline from phone logs, WhatsApp messages and the service report. With a FSM system, the timestamp is on the call record (when the customer reported the fault), the dispatch record (when the technician was assigned), the site arrival record (captured by the technician at arrival, geotagged), and the job completion record (when the job was closed). The SLA compliance report runs from these four timestamps against the contract terms, for every job in the period, without reconstruction.
An Annual Maintenance Contract specifies the number of preventive maintenance visits per year, the scope of each visit, the response time for breakdown calls, and the billing schedule. The system has to know when each PM is due (generated from the contract, not from a reminder), confirm when it was done (from the field, not from memory), and flag when a PM was missed before the customer notices. Billing runs from the contract schedule, not from a monthly manually-produced invoice.
The Maharashtra Lifts and Escalators Act 2017 requires periodic inspection of lifts and escalators by a competent person, a signed inspection report, and a compliance certificate issued to the building owner. The frequency depends on the equipment type and age. We build the inspection form to the format specified in the Rules, the signature capture (technician and customer) as a named step, and the certificate as a generated PDF attached to the job record. The date of the next inspection is set on the asset record and generates a scheduled job in the system.
Many field service sites - basement plant rooms, lift shafts, remote industrial facilities - have no mobile signal. If the technician's app requires connectivity, the record is not captured at the site: it is written on paper and entered later, with the timestamps that matter for SLA and inspection compliance not reflecting when the work was actually done. Our mobile app is offline-capable: the entire job - asset details, checklist, parts used, signature, photos - can be completed without a connection, and syncs to the main system when the device is back on a network.
Core Architecture

What goes into a FSM system we build

Contract and asset management

AMC and warranty contracts per asset, SLA terms, PM schedules, billing cycles. One record for everything the customer has contracted for.

Preventive maintenance scheduling

PM jobs generated from the contract schedule, assigned to a technician, confirmed from the field. Missed PMs flagged before the period closes.

Breakdown dispatch

Call logged, technician dispatched, response time started. Arrival confirmed by the technician from the site. SLA timer visible in the head office.

Offline-capable mobile app

Job details, asset history, inspection checklists, parts used, photo capture, customer signature. Works without signal, syncs on reconnect.

Statutory inspection records

Inspection form to regulatory format, technician and customer signature, compliance certificate as a PDF attached to the asset record.

Reporting and billing

SLA compliance by contract, by customer, by technician. Billing from the contract schedule. Revenue not dependent on a manual invoice reminder.

The deepest proof stack we have

ElevatorPlus is our field service platform for the elevator and escalator industry. We built it and we run the implementations. It is live with more than 2,000 users across 20+ countries.

In the Middle East: EPIC ME Technical Works LLC (UAE), Triolift (Saudi Arabia), Gulf Integrated Vertical Solutions (Bahrain). In India: Eros Elevators and Ashok Traders. All named companies, all running the same platform.

For teams that do not run elevators, the platform is the reference, not the product. We build to the same engineering standard for any field service context.

How the engagement works

1

A 30-minute call

You bring the SLA problem or the inspection requirement. We tell you whether it is ready and whether we are the right team.

2

Discovery, then a fixed-scope proposal

We map your contract types, your asset list, your technician workflow. Fixed scope, fixed price.

3

Build, with weekly demos on your data

Your contracts loaded, your assets in the system, your inspection forms to your regulatory format.

4

Implementation and rollout

Technician onboarding, contract migration, parallel running. We do not hand over and walk away.

FAQs

Questions we get asked

Field service management software is the system that connects a head office to the technicians working at customer sites. It handles contract creation, scheduled maintenance planning, breakdown dispatch, technician scheduling, job recording, and the inspection records and service certificates that have to be produced when the job is done. The difference between a FSM system and a spreadsheet is that the FSM system captures the record at the site, in real time, by the person doing the work.

For a single-company core scope - contracts, scheduling, dispatch, mobile app - plan on a few months to first production use. Multi-company, multi-country and heavy integration work takes longer. We give you a date after discovery.

Yes. The technician app is offline-capable - job details, customer history, inspection checklists and parts used can all be recorded without a connection and sync when signal returns. This matters because many service sites - plant rooms, shafts, basements - have no reliable signal.

Yes. SLA terms, response time obligations, exclusion periods and escalation chains are part of the contract record. The system tracks whether each job was attended within the contracted response time and flags misses before the invoice period closes. AMC billing runs from the contract schedule, not from a manual reminder.

Statutory inspections for lifts, escalators, pressure vessels, fire suppression systems and other regulated equipment require a defined inspection record and a certificate issued to the asset owner. We build the inspection form to the regulatory format, the signature capture to the required standard, and the certificate generation as a named PDF. The Maharashtra Lifts and Escalators Act 2017 is one we have built to; others are scoped during discovery.

Yes. ElevatorPlus, which we built and implement, runs with more than 2,000 users across 20+ countries with named clients in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Multi-company, multi-currency and multi-regulatory-framework operation is a design requirement we have solved, not a theoretical capability.

Yes. WhatsApp Business API integration for job notifications, status updates and customer communication is a module we have built. The technician receives the job assignment on WhatsApp and confirms via the app. Customers receive status updates at the stage you define.

You do. Repository access, documentation and a full handover are written into every contract from day one.
